Adelia O. (St. Pierre) Tetreault, age 78, of New Bedford, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Lucien Tetreault to whom she had been married for 58 years.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Talbot) St. Pierre, she was employed as a Seamstress with various mills throughout the area and retired from Tremblay Bus as a Driver for several years.
Mrs. Tetreault was a communicant of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church in New Bedford for many years, enjoyed bingo with friends, camping and most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Lucien Tetreault Jr. and his fiancée Leslie Perreira of Dartmouth, Lionel Tetreault and his wife Tina of Dartmouth and Susan Vargos of New Bedford; a very special nephew Rodger St. Pierre and his wife Sue of Marion, six grandchildren: Tiffany, Aaron, Holly, Deserae, Amanda and Andrew; two great-grandchildren Cole and Kennedy; three sisters Dolores Hargraves, Rose Marie Duhon and Terry Danes and many nieces and nephews.
Adelia was also the sister of the late Roland, Raymond, and Roger St. Pierre, Annette Maxfield and Cecile Foye.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
