Yvonne "Vonnie" Waters

Yvonne "Vonnie" Waters, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at the age of 67 while surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1950 in Jeffersonville, Indiana and spent much of her time in Florida. Vonnie was the former co-owner and operator of Thurmans of Fort Pierce in Florida. Before moving to Florida she was employed with General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky. Vonnie loved her family including pets; Maybelline, Rufus, and Popeye. She enjoyed spending time decorating, painting, sewing, traveling and hunting for reclaimed treasures. Vonnie will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Henry Waters, her mother Iona Lois Snook, and infant daughter Amy Lynn Brock. Survivors include her children, Daniel Robertson (Brenda), Robert Lynn Brock; grandchildren, Tristan, Sebastian, Bodhi; step-children, Angela Umphrey, Katherine Heaton (Lonnie), Michael Waters, Camille Ricord; grandchildren, Brad, Chris, Kaile, Chase; siblings, Sherry Henson, Jerry Longest (Marcy), Gayle Ward; nieces and nephews, Rick Henson (Patty), Terri Jo Tucker (Ben), Gwen Snider (Glenn) and Ronnie Peterson (Rick); many great nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Reception will be held from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm Sunday, October 29th. A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel.
