William "Bill" Medlock Jr., age 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Bill was born August 7, 1952 on Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to the late William and Doris Medlock, Sr. He was a retired truck driver, lastly with the William B. Tabler Company. Bill was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany, Indiana where he was very active including driving the church bus, the annual yard sale, and men's club where he served as the former president. He loved his church and driving a truck, never met a stranger, and was always up for a long conversation. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Paula, Cindy, and Erica.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Debbie Buchanan; son, Joshua Medlock (Tammy); siblings, Michelle Thomas (Lee), Steven Medlock, Daniel Medlock (Janet); granddog, Bella; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Bill will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 415 E 8th St, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Bill will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
