Vivian R. (Robertson) Landrum, 92, died peacefully Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor in Louisville, KY. She was a former southern Indiana native and returned to Louisville 16 years ago. Vivian was a Registered Nurse graduate of the Nazareth School of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Infirmary, as well as being a Red Cross Army Corp Nurse. Her nursing career was a span of 50 years, which included critical care, teaching, and geriatric nursing. Vivian was the head nurse of the first intensive care unit in Louisville at St. Joseph’s Infirmary. She was also Director of Nursing and Administrator at Christopher South and Christopher East Health Care facilities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Susan O’Bryan Robertson; husband, John Joseph Landrum; infant son, Charles William; and brothers, William, Charles, Earl, Maurice, and Leslie Robertson.
Survivors include daughters, Vivian Catherine Kalman (Steve), Martha Kahanic (Mark), Jean Goodbub (Ron), and Barbara Pauley (Robert); sons, J. Daniel Landrum (Pamela) and Michael Landrum; sisters, Marie Prestigiacomo and Louise Marks; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Little Sisters of the Poor and their nursing staff for all the loving care and dignity shown to their mother throughout the years, and especially in her final moments.
Visitation will be 4 pm ~ 8 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana and after 9 am Saturday at the Chapel of St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged, 15 Audubon Plaza, Louisville, Kentucky. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday in St. Joseph’s Chapel with private entombment following at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
