Victor Lynn Terry, age 62 passed away peacefully March 10th, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to Phyllis Pound and Charles Terry. He married his lifetime love, Patricia Terry who preceded him in death in 2014 after being together 28 years. Vic loved to go fishing with his loved ones and once sank a pick up truck at Deam lake unloading a boat. He was a lifelong fan of Indiana Basketball and could always be seen wearing IU gear or at the very least something red, he even named his favorite dog “Hoosier”. Throughout his years there was a near supply shortage of coffee and Big Red in the state of Indiana due to his thirst. He would always go out of his way to help his family and be there for his loved ones. His life was an example of strength, grit and perseverance, even in the hardest of situations or pain you could always find a warm smile on his face and a lighthearted joke.
Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Terry, daughter, Nicole Bishop, father, Charles Terry (and the aforementioned Hoosier). He is survived by his wife, Tami Terry; children, Bridget Terry, Steve Bishop (Natalia); mother, Phyllis Pound; siblings, Debbie Finley (Steve), Larry Schroeder (Nikki), Kim Schroeder, Jeff Schroeder (Mary), Charles “Chuck” Terry Jr., Greg Terry, Mike Terry (Kim), Todd Terry, Mary Boykin (Bell); and beloved grandchildren, Noah Terry, Ethan Bishop, and Eliana Bishop.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home chapel.
