Trudy was born November 15, 1923 in St. Joseph, Daviess Co., KY, the daughter of Thomas Leander "Len" Riney and Mary Irmine (Mulligan) Riney. She was married to Dr. Joseph P. Mudd on May 20, 1950. They had 62 wonderful years together and shared far too much for this short prose. Trudy was stricken with early onset Alzheimer's in the late 80's and her family sponsors an Alzheimer's Benefit each year to support research for a cure.
Trudy enjoyed her family most of all, she was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and friend. She was very active in gardening, entertaining and giving back to her community and her church. She never passed up the opportunity to go dancing with Joe as they both loved dancing together and she would twirl gracefully in his arms.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Dr. Joseph P. Mudd of Clarksville; daughter, Janet Mudd of Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Deborah Tuggle of Louisville; daughter, Jolene Barton of Loveland, OH; son, Paul Mudd of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Dr. Ann Mudd of Louisville; daughter, Leslie Mudd of New Albany; and grandchildren, Alex, Samantha, Ashley, Garrett, Justin, Aaron, Natalie, Nicholas, Hunter, Whitney and Bradley; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Halle; sisters, Patricia Cheshire, Mary Louise Mudd, and Mary Virginia Kutscher; and brothers, Father Phillip and David Riney.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1946 and her mother in 1985. The family thanks God she was spared any additional pain and is now in the presence of our Lord. She will be sorely missed and will be remembered for the love she shared and the light of life that she brought to so many.
