Thomas Edward Rankin Jr.

THOMAS EDWARD RANKIN, JR., 71, died peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Thomas and Ruth Oskin Rankin, Tom was born April 25, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana. Tom, fondly known by some as “T-Shirt Tom”, was a 1962 graduate of Jeffersonville High School, was a member of the Elks Club, and attended Northside Christian Church. He was retired from I.C.I. in Charlestown.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Carol Wolfe Rankin; children, Brad Rankin, Jennifer Rankin Zimmerman (Matthew), and Cory Rankin (Michelle); sister, Ruth Rankin Busby (Robert); grandchildren, Jacob and Victoria Zimmerman, Collin and Halle Rankin, and Brady and Avery Rankin; and great granddaughter, Kensleigh Zimmerman.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 7:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.
