Stephen Harvey Allen

Steve is survived by his wife Vicki (Keach), his son Derek (Lindsay Brown) and his granddaughter Sky Elizabeth Allen, as well as nieces and nephews, sister and brother in law, and a beloved cousin, in addition to many other relatives and friends.

Steve was born in New Albany, Indiana on September 17, 1946, to Glenn and Beth Berryman Allen. After graduating from high school, Steve pursued his love of music and organized various bands who performed at venues in the Kentuckiana area. Additionally, Steve was a lifelong member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters union. In 2017, Steve retired from the company ACS, located in Madison Wisconsin. He later created Allen Construction Management and worked as an independent contractor until his death.

Steve was devoted to his family and loved being “papa” to his 5-year-old granddaughter Sky. He enjoyed lifelong hobbies of boating, camping, and classic cars. A great sense of humor and possessing a bigger than life personality, Steve will be deeply missed by his family, friends, his son’s friends, and all who interacted with him for any amount of time great or small.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road with cremation to follow.
