Sherry Jean Gardner

Sherry Jean Gardner, age 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 19, 1952, to the late Rev. Samuel James Devine and Irene Johnson Grizzell. She was a retired Human Resources Representative and an Administrative Assistant. After retirement, Sherry continued to work as a bus driver with the New Albany Floyd County School System. She attended Southeast Christian Church, Indiana campus. She was an avid photographer, loved to travel but most of all she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kay Gambill; and two brothers, James Irvin Devine and Samuel J. Devine Jr.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dale Gardner; two children, Stephanie Shea Cundiff (Jason) and Travis Dale Gardner; four grandchildren, Jason Britt Cundiff Jr., Jackson Dale Cundiff, London Lane Gardner and Jake Evan Gardner; a sister, Susan Irene Davis (Perry); a brother, Joseph Paul Grizzell Jr. (Sherrie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Sherry will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, August 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
