Robert L. Wolfe

Robert L. Wolfe, 85 years of age passed away Friday, August 24, 2012. He was the son of the late Chester C. Wolfe and Beulah Mae Brewer Wolfe. Robert was a member of the Methodist Church. He was in the Naval Air Transport Service in the Asiatic Pacific during World War II. Robert was also a life member of V.F.W. Post #3281, 40 & 8 Voiture 1250, and American Legion Post #42, all in New Albany. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and a volunteer Floyd County Deputy Sheriff during the late 1960’s. Robert was retired from U.S. Steel Homes and also Target of Clarksville.

Survivors include wife of 66 years, Verona Fischer Wolfe; children, William Wolfe (Carol) of Elizabeth, Indiana, Donald Wolfe (Terri) of New Albany, Indiana, Patricia Naulty (Terry) of Elizabeth, Indiana; sister, Betty Kaiser of New Albany; brother, James Wolfe of Georgetown, Indiana; grandchildren, Leslie Durham of Greenville, Indiana, Jeremy Wolfe of Lanesville, Indiana, Adam Wolfe of New Albany, Indiana; step-grandson, Derek Harmon of Lanesville, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Sunday and 10:00 am ~ 1:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana
