Robert Deane Sappenfield

Robert Deane Sappenfield, 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Robert was born May 2, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Cecil Sappenfield and Margaret Baker. He was a retired logistic coordinator and veteran in the United States Navy. Robert was an avid car collector and enjoyed cruising around Southern Indiana and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In his free time you would find him on his deck with a cold beer and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Pearl Baker and his beloved dog, Jack.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Julie Kemp; a son, Blake (Jennifer) Sappenfield; lifetime friend, Madonna Sappenfield; grandson, Robbie Kemp; two brothers, David (Shirley) Sappenfield and his twin, Tom (Janet) Sappenfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with inurnment in New Albany National Cemetery on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 12:30.
