Robert M. “Bobby” McDonald, 76 years of age died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home in Ormond Beach, Florida. He was born January 6, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Margaret McDonald. Bobby worked in the stone industry his entire life and founded McDonald Marble and Stone in 1995. Bob loved speed, from cars to motorcycles to boats. His love for his family was as strong as he was. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and an infant son, Scott Bradley McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Rudy McDonald; children, Mark McDonald (Kristin), Tracy Leet (Marty), Todd Young, Chris Young (Gessyka); sister, Patricia Wagner; brother, Howard “Butch” McDonald (Jewellea); grandchildren, Scott McDonald, Jordan McDonald, Eryn Elle Leet, Carson Leet, Bella Young, Evan Young; and great grandson, Lincoln Henry McDonald.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with private burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
