To Timi and family, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Roddy.  From these photos I think he looked as I remembered and very youthful.  He was so active and I know you will cherish the great memories you have.  I hope you will smile knowing he is with your family up in heaven.

Every time I ask about you all and the grand children he would light up, you could hear it in his voice, his eyes his and his heart .  I will miss Rod not being at the Wednesday prayer meeting at Rex Sheets's he made me laugh so much. Rod was always the life of the prayer meeting!!!
You three are a great example of his life and core values.

As a boy, I trailed Roddy around at the Colonial Club pool like a lap dog. He was friendly, humorous, and always positive. Roddy was a popular athlete at New Albany, but always had time for a kid like me. He was my hero. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Rod's passing.  Even in this time of mourning Ive smiled and even laughed at some of the memories - things he would do and say!  We all have wonderful memories of Rod to hold onto, he was a special man.  Angie, Bobby, Brad and the rest of the family my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

My sympathies to Rods family he was one of a kind.

In 1955, Roddy was in a class behind me while I was attending Holy Trinity in New Albany. (He was in the same class with my brother, Tom Ledbetter.) 

One of the most memorable moments I recall of Roddy was when Fr. Paul Sweeney had the choir boys from different classes to participate in the annual St. Patrick's Day music-fest singing all the favorite Irish songs dressed entirely in Green top hats and bow-ties, etc. at the old gym on Main Street. 

Roddy was one of the young solo vocalist attractions singing the warm melody of "Danny Boy" in Irish tradition. Needless to say, his rendition delighted the crowd.

Of course, there were other times Roddy delighted us with his beautiful voice, especially at Midnight Mass at Holy Trinity.

He was a great person and treated his peers with respect and dignity. He was lots of fun to be around. 

My sincere condolences to his family. He was a great person to be around then, and I can tell, he never lost that personable gift of himself to others.

Rod was a wonderful man who was loved by many and will be missed by many.  He had the ability to make people laugh.  He made people feel good...a rare talent!  I am blessed to have known him.  He was a lovely man!

Oh my! What shocking and sad news to hear of the passing of one of my true high school friends. My sympathy goes out to the family.

Rod was a very special man, he could tell a great story, share a joke, and his "one liners", well you just never knew what he was going to say, but always had that big ole grin. Our family shared many fun times with Rod, roping, riding, pitch-ins, sitting on a porch, and even the prayer meetings. His hugs were priceless at just the right times as well. He will be soooo missed.

I was shocked to hear about Rod.  So sorry.  Every time Id see Rod he'd grin real big and call me Sherman.  Remember a lot of good times when he and Donna weren't married and they'd come over a lot plus Gary Wolf and Sherry and we'd all ride in the back pasture.  He was a lot of fun.
