I am terribly saddened with the news of Rick's passing.  I went to St. Meinrad with Rick and he was just a very good friend.  

My prayers are with the family.  I know that he passed in February and the pain will always be there but we know by faith that he is resting well in the arms of our God.

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I remember him as such a kind person. My heart goes out to you and yours. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My name is Joyce and I am Richard's wife. Richard and I shared the last 9 years of his life together. He was a WONDERFUL husband, a great father to OUR children and a wonderful provider. I will miss my best friend.. My heart is shattered without Rick. I wish I got the chance to say goodbye to Rick or have one last kiss; but I know one day we'll be together again in HEAVEN! I am so sorry to hear about Richard passing. I know he will be missed by all that knew him. I met him at GE and worked with him when he was on 2ND shift on C-3. He was a good person and well liked by all that knew him. I pray that he will be remembered as a good person and friend. All my prayers go to his family and friends.

Richard was a caring person who will be deeply missed. Our children grew up with him on Accrusia Avenue in Clarksville and were close friends. May God welcome him with open arms.

i met rick when him and joyce first started dating. he was so kind and loving,and i know how much he loved joyce and the kids. joyce im so sorry for your loss.even tho we havent spoke in many years, i love you and will be here for you if you need anything. again im sorry for your loss. just remember hes in a better place and he will always be watching over you and the kids.

I'm sorry for your loss Shafer Family.  I went to the same school and was friends with Jen when we worked together.  He was a truly nice guy and overcame such overwhelming circumstances through the years.  My heart goes out to you All and my prayers are with you All.

Ipnly seen him once. But then I seem like I know hiim. I watch him being baptized on FB and heard many great things about him from friends that goes to Victory Apostolic Church.  So that is how I know him. My God wrap his arms around you durning this time. I know its very hard losing someone that you love just like that. My prayers are with your family and the church famuily durning this time.

I have known Richard for a LONG time, we grew up together on the same street.  I just heard this very very sad news today.  Theresa you and the family are in our prayers.  Mom and I are thinking of you guys!
