Richard H. Miley

Richard H. Miley, 68 years of age died Saturday March 3rd, 2012. He was born August 15th, 1943 in Paso Robles CA., to the late Hal Miley Jr. and Doris Lee Thompson Miley. Richard was a 1961 graduate of New Albany High School, member of Floyd County V.F.W. Post #3281, Clarksville F.O.P. Lodge #144 and DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church in New Albany. He retired in 1998 after some 35 years in law enforcement and was formerly a detective and the Assistant Police Chief with the rank of Colonel in the Clarksville Indiana Police Department. Richard will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years Linda, his children, grandchildren and all the many friends he made throughout the years.

Daughter: Kim Popp (Trey) Memphis, IN

Son: Kevin H. Miley (Brigitte) Jeffersonville, IN

Nine Grandchildren: Brittney, Brandi, Bronte, Brynna, Bryce, Brittany,

Jagger, Bailee, and Hunter.

Brother: Steve Miley (Sheila) Fern Creek, KY

Sister: Kaye Dobson (Doug) Hanover, IN

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday March 7th, and after 10:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St. in New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Thursday March 8th, at the Kraft Spring St. Chapel with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
