Obituary of Rhonda Kathleen Harris
Rhonda Kathleen (Riall) Harris, age 72, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Rhonda was born to Robert & Marilyn Riall on August 31st, 1949, at St. Edwards Hospital in New Albany, IN. She married her beloved husband Stephen T. Harris of 54 ½ years on April 28th, 1967, he survives. Also surviving is her father Robert O. Riall, daughters Allison (Steve Meuse) Mitchell of Henryville and Stephanie K. (Jimmy) Rockey of Pekin. Grandchildren Andreu, Peyton, Ariana, and Hallie Mitchell, Emma and Everett Rockey, and Cody Meuse. Great-Granddaughter Lacey Rain Mitchell. Brother-in-law James A. Harris, Jr. and Sister-in-law Barbara (Jim) Nelson. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Her Westies Jewel and Shelby. Brothers Randy Riall and Ronnie Riall, and sister Gina Hinderer. Along with her dear friends of the McDonald’s Gang. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Riall Kulp, Grandparents Lovell and Loren Myers, infant brother Charles Staton, and her in-laws James and Irene Harris. Rhonda grew up and raised her family in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and later moved to Clarksville, Indiana. She was a 1967 graduate of New Albany High School. A homemaker and retired professional seamstress. She loved her family beyond measure, was the proudest US Marine Corp. Wife and cherished each one of her grandchildren, supporting them in their endeavors. Besides enjoying her family, she enjoyed being crafty and her flowers. We take note that no words could ever collaborate to honor her to the fullest. Visitation for Rhonda will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with private burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
