Raymond "Rick" John Richmer

RAYMOND JOHN "RICK" RICHMER, 90, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The son of the late John George and Clara Myrtle (Groskurd) Richmer, Rick was born April 23, 1922 in New Albany. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and member of Hobart Beach Post #1693 VFW, Bonnie Sloan Post #28 American Legion and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, all in New Albany. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha ZurSchmiede, and brother, Melton “Bud” Richmer, Sr.

Wife of 61 years: Joyce Richmer

Daughter: Mary Kay (Bryan) Campbell

Sons: John Alan (Julie) Richmer

Michael Ray (Leah Ann) Richmer

Scott Joseph (Linda) Richmer

20 Grandchildren

4 Great Grandchildren

Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 9:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Thursday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial and military honors to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
