Norman Carl Gleitz, 88, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Norman was born in Corydon, Indiana on November 8, 1935 to the late Edward Michael Gleitz and Hattie Cathern Denbo Gleitz. He was retired from General Electric and a veteran in the United States Army. He was a member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lea Gleitz; a sister, Clarice Mathes; and two brothers, James Gleitz and Kenneth Gleitz.
Norman is survived by three children, Ricky Gleitz (Lori), Sandra Broady (Doug) and Timothy Gleitz; grandchildren, Robert Gleitz, Tabitha Gleitz McKnight (Michael) and Zad Broady; two sisters, Cathern Hisey and Trudy Richardson (Russell); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Norman will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
