Nancy Louise Grantz

Nancy Lyon Grantz, 69 years of age died Monday, September 26th 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born September 22nd 1942 in Louisville to Guy and Ruth Mueller Lyon. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker who loved her family and the many friends she made throughout her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Lyon; father-in-law, Edward Grantz; brother, Scott Lyon; and brother-in-law, Harry Lee Lucien.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joseph M. Grantz; children, Michael L. Grantz (Kimberley) of Floyds Knobs, Angela G. Koopman (Stephen) of Floyds Knobs, Kevin A. Grantz (Jeanette) of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Nick, Mallory, Jillian, Katelyn, Alyssa, Stephanie, Steven, Jennifer, and Jalen; great grandson, Justiz; mother, Ruth Mueller Lyon of New Albany; sisters, Janet Benvie (Bill) and Linda Sue Tucker (John)

Visitation will be from 11:00 am ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to New Albany Deanery Youth Ministry or Holy Family Catholic Church
