Matthew Daniel Melton, age 38 passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Matthew was born in New Albany, Indiana to Danny and Erin Melton. He was an over the road truck driver with Schneider Trucking Company. He was an avid gamer.
Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alice Helen Kemple; paternal grandparents, Charles Ray Melton and Jeanetta May Melton; and an uncle, Jeffrey Melton.
He is survived by his daughter, Sasha Melton; parents, Danny and Erin Melton; a sister, Kristen East (David); two brothers, Jason Melton (Chanin) and Jeremy Melton (Toni); aunts, Jennifer Kemple (Missi), Sarah Bouteiller (Billy), Anna Brubaker (Caren), Vickie Bohne, Ruth Hentrup (Gilbert) and Peggy Ward (Brad); uncles, Eric Corbett (Rose), Michael Corbett (Peggy) and Tony Corbett (Bronwyn); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial visitation for Matthew will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to a care fund for his daughter.
