Mary Catherine Wheeler

Mary Catherine Wheeler, 81 years of age died Friday, May 13, 2016 at Rolling Hill Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana. She was born January 15, 1935 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Chester and Elsie Sears. Mary retired from the Sonoco Company in New Albany after 45 years of service and was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert “Boots” Wheeler, and sisters, Wilma and Shirley.

Survivors include her children, Gerri Whitworth, David Lozier (John), Donna Wright (Jay), Wilma Rauchmiller (Brian Kingrey); step-children, Bootsie Wheeler (Patti), Kerry Joe Wheeler, Susie Watson (Glen); brother, C.J. Sears (Ethelda); grandchildren, Chad, Brandy, Joe, Adam, Andrea, Natasha, Ethan, Shyanna; great grandchildren, Kylie, Claire, Graham, Olivia, Aspen, Jonathan, Lexie, Laney, Landon, Kingston; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday and 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests expressions of sympathy to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
