Mary Ellen (Nash) Rector

Mary Ellen (Nash) Rector, 81 years of age died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home in New Albany with her family by her side. Mary was born December 2, 1934 in Corydon Junction, IN to the late Foster and Alice (Best) Nash. During her life Mary enjoyed traveling, embroidery, reading, playing cards, walking, working in the yard , and being surrounded by her family. She formerly worked at the old Army Ammunition Plant, attended Northside Christian Church, and was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Bonnie Davis, and grandson Brandon Rector. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband of 67 years Max G. Rector, daughter; Brenda McDonald (Ron), son; Mark Rector (Ginnie) grandchildren; David Stumler (Tiffany), Brittney Sanders (Justin), Brandy Spidel (Travis), great-grandchildren; Noah, Jacob, and Kaylee Stumler, Molly and Adelyn Spidel, Reese and Riley Sanders, sister, Majorie Dodge, brothers Porter and Elbert Nash, 2 step-granddaughters, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Kraft Funeral Chapel with graveside service to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
