Martha Kathleen Tully

Martha "Kathleen" Tully, age 100, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Baptist Floyd Hospital. Martha was born on December, 17th, 1923 in Mount Carmel, Kentucky to the late Harold and Poyntz (Foxworthy) O'Bannon. She was a beloved member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. She also taught the "Church Mice" for many years at Eastside Christian Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Martha spent a lot of time knitting, enjoying her family, and was known by Grandmere by so many.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Poyntz (Foxworthy) O'Bannon; first husband and father of her children, Norman C. Tully; her second husband, Joseph Johnson; son, Norman P. Tully; great grandson, Bryan P. Tucker; brother, James O'Bannon and also a brother at birth; and sisters, Sarah Margaret Cain, Mary Evelyn Pitzel, Janet Uglini, and Wilhelmina Burket.

She is survived by her son, David (Tammy) Tully; grandchildren, Shawn (Shawna) Tully, Deena (Mike) Livermore, Scott Tully, Bryan (Carla) Tully, and Jennifer Snawder; nine great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; sister, Emily Bruce Cummins; Brother in law, Phil Burket; and her late husband Joseph Johnson had many loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren including Barb (David) Anderson and their children.

A visitation for Martha will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, July 18th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.

A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service. Martha will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
