Lois Ann Owens, age 87, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born on October 5, 1936, to the late Jones T. and Odena (Sawyer) Rogers. Lois was married to the love of her life of 54 years, the late Rex L. Owens, who passed in 2009. Lois was a faithful member of the Colgate Baptist Church.
Lois was a loving wife, mother, and mamaw. She cherished spending time with her family.
Along with her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by her siblings, Ellis Rogers, Kathleen Casey, Mary Hopson, Frances Lawson, Harold Rogers, Billie Sue Hicks, and Joe Wayne Rogers.
Lois is survived by her children, Jeffery Owens, Roger "Scott" Owens (Connie), Starr Owens Epperson (Jeff), and Mark Owens; grandchildren, Dallas, Jacqueline, Joseph, Amanda, Joshua, Zachary, McKenzie, Madison, and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Paiton, Kennedi, Manny, Julian, McKenna, Ashlyn, Zander, Brady, Malachai, Aydan, Easton, Violet, Shelby, and Savannah.
A visitation for Lois will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Lois will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
