Karen Ruth Socha, 64, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. Karen was born August 16, 1957 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Herbert and Christine Tankersley. She was a retired LPN and was a avid bingo and slot machine player.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three children, Jamie Socha, Kerri Socha and Alison Clark; siblings, Jeffrey Tankersley, Timothy Tankersley and Janet Lynn; and a daughter-in-law, Joy Socha.
Karen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Marion V. Socha; a son, Michael V. Socha; a daughter, Terri Lynn (James) Laird; grandchildren, Brian Cain, Matthew Cain, Caleb Cain, Adia Clark, Riley Laird and Connor Laird; great-granddaughter, Harper Cain; siblings, Gloria Stone, Tracy (Dwayne) Churchwell and Herbie Tankersley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for Karen will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
