Juanita "Letha" Danner Schaaf

Juanita "Letha" Danner Schaaf, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. Letha was born at her family home in Borden, Indiana on April 26, 1936, to the late Harry and Olive Knasel Danner. She was a cook and waitress at Walgreens Restaurant for over 11 years but most of all her pride and joy was her family. She loved to Craft, Sew, Baking, Bowling and Card Games. Letha grew up in the Baptist Faith and later in life joined the Catholic church where she belonged to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three children, Edwin Schaaf, Patty Brown and Michael Schaaf; a granddaughter, Jennifer Donohue; seven brothers; one sister and one stepbrother.

Letha is survived by three children, Eddie Schaaf of Pekin, Indiana, Lisa Heselschwerdt (Bill) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Maria Donohue (Paul) of Clarksville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Lamb and numerous niece and nephews.

Visitation for Letha will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
