Joseph Robert Morris

Joseph Robert Morris, 82, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Joseph was born September 14, 1939 in Whitesville, Kentucky to the late William Odus and Mary Dessie Morris. He was retired from Sonoco in New Albany with over 38 years of service, and was a licensed electrician for 40 years. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a United States Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Richard, Edward, Trelva, Madeline, Mae, John and Francis "Red".

Joe is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Morris; children, Carl (Lana) Morris, Kathy (Dale) Kulwicki, Sharon (Doug) Thrasher, Rob (Tammy) Morris and Brenda (Michael) Bratcher; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren with the twelfth on the way; two brothers, James "Rusty" and Harold; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 316 North Sherwood Drive, Clarksville, Indiana 47129 with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
