John Ray "Butch" Cochran, 74 passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023. John was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on October 3, 1949, to the late Hubert and Catherine Cochran. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard. He loved to deer hunt, fishing and cruising with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Larkin "Bud" Cochran and Robert "Bob" Cochran.
John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl Cochran; children, Johnny Cochran Jr., Mark Allen Cochran, Rosemary Kuntz (Steve), Larry Cochran (Jeff Foster) and Jeffrey Cochran (Victoria); several grandchildren; a brother, Bill Cochran; a sister, Judy Beswick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for John will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
A celebration of life will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 1:30 PM, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
