John H. Allen Sr.

John H. Allen Sr., 91, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home. John was born October 25, 1930 in Gibson County, Tennessee to the late John Philmore and Jesse Mai Allen. He was retired from the United States Army working in White House Intelligence and Communication He was a member of Colgate Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Neatha Jean Allen; two children, Carol Allen and John H. Allen Jr.; a granddaughter, Jennifer McIntyre and three brothers, Ralph Allen, Harold Wayne Allen and Murray Allen. He is survived by a daughter, Katherine Mayfield; a granddaughter, Carrie Short; a grandson, Mitchell Short; six great grandchildren, Jacob Short, Kendall Short, Paxton McIntyre, William Paiz, Jeremiah Paiz and Kaitlyn Paiz and his beloved cat, Ernest P. Worrell. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Graveside service will be at 1:30 on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
