Joan E. Wright

Joan E. Wright, 73 years of age passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at The Villages at Historic Silvercrest in New Albany. Joan was born in Wilmington, NC on May 12, 1943, she attended the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis, and loved playing golf, traveling, and card games.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Clark A. Wright; son, Carlton C. Wright; mother, Peachie Carlton; step-daughter, Stacy Colson (Mike); sisters, Betty Slater (Terry), Judy Hizer (Bob); grandchildren, Kyle, Shelby, and Zene Colson, Savannah, Sydney, and Anola Wright.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 10:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy to be made to the Humane Association of Clark County
