It’s been a long year without you Jerry. Being neighbors and friends is greatly missed. 

Jerry was an awesome friend and a great mechanic. I always enjoyed seeing him at Neutz Bros. and I hated to see him leave there.  The news has sadden me greatly because I had been wanting to go see him. Rest in peace my friend you were one of a kind.

I've known Jerry since the late 70s, all the times that I came up to visit in New Albany,we always ran into each other some way somewhere somehow and it was never planned out. I will miss you my friend rest in peace 💔

He was a great and caring guy in school. Our class of "79" will miss him. He was a friend to all including men.

Jerry and I were close friends in our teenage years. We worked on cars (occasionally raced them), played music (he played bass), and generally had fun together. I remember his amazing sense of humor, his generosity, and his calm demeanor...except when he was laughing, which was most of the time. I moved away from New Albany when I was about 20, and I haven't seen Jerry in two or three decades; nevertheless, I miss him. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Skipping out of one Waffle House, and on to the next for some late night food.  We were meant to attend the other restaurant, seeing that methlete dance his brains out.  Jerry was laughing harder than I’ve ever seen, watching that dude dance into another dimension.

Where do I start. So many memories of Jerry and his goofy laugh.  He was very outgoing and loved sitting by listening to country music but most of all he lover lyric and Alece but also have a soft stop for Presley when he got to see her. My favorite memorial of Jerry was when he told this 6 foot 5, 300 pound guy at one that he was going to get his butt kicked by me if he didn’t back off of our friend. Jerry wasn’t scared of anything and obviously wasn’t worried about that situation when I was there. Jerry was very loving man. I am jakes half brother so we had different dads but when I would come in town from the marines or got a new vehicle or started a new job he would always ask me a bunch of questions about it all and seemed like a caring father even know I wasn’t his. I’ll
Miss Jerry and I feel for those little girls and his awesome son Jake more than anything. Love you bro and Jerry don’t be Dale Earnhardt in every race hahaha. Rest in piece buddy we will see u soon and your memory will for ever live through us.

So many memories of Jerry back in the day cruising Frisch’s and hanging out at White Castle with the whole gang.  So many stories can be told and all of them include him pranking someone and making us laugh.  I was in his wedding to Kerry.  His smile lit up a room.   He was a great friend to all and the best dad ever.  My deepest sympathies to the family.  He will never be forgotten.  

My favorite memory of Jerry was at Mac’s Hideaway for battle of the bands last year. I just remember hugging him and it almost felt like i was hugging my own dad.
Jerry always sent me the FUNNIEST videos on facebook messenger and always supported my sister and I in our music.
The last couple days I’ve looked through posts we are both tagged in and messages between us. Like most of us it still hasn’t hit me that he’s really gone.

Jerry was a loving wonderful guy.  He had a ready smile and enjoyed life.  His light in this life will be missed. :(

I did not know Jerry personally but living in the same area we would cross paths. He always seemed to light up the room wherever he was. I have followed the story on FB and I just wanted to say how sorry I am. I prayed everyday sometimes more than once for him. I now pray that the family can some day look back and smile at the wonderful memories. He may be gone physically but he will live on in so many hearts. 


There are never the right words when someone so full of life and love are described by a pen and paper. 

You have touched everyone with your smile, your hugs and your kindness. 
My own special memory I have to share, was at Bourbon Hall and we sat outside and talked about Jake and all the musician kids. 
He laughed and said "You know what Shannon?  We are the Music Pop and Music Mom to these talented kids. Somebody's gotta keep them in line!"  We both laughed and grinned.  He was proud of that statement and so was I.  
Words I'll never forget.   Gonna miss you. But I promise to do the best I can to look over these music kids!

We always loved seeing your dad. He always had a smile and we loved talking about our sons making music and how proud we were of you and Kevin. He always made us feel at home when we were in Louisville. We will miss him so much 

There are no words to say how sorry I am to hear that Jerry lost his battle. I woke up every morning to see his son’s post hoping and praying there was any improvement! I did not know him personally only through Facebook posts but He sounded like a great man who was loved by his family and friends!  My sincere condolences to the family.

I’m at a loss for words . I have memories of us as kids and you walking me to school when we went to S Ellen Jones . I hope you have Peace now and I know you are in the arms of our loving Lord. I will miss you .

It has been a while since I last saw Jerry being 800 miles apart but we kept up with each other on FB. Jerry was light in the room that never went dim, he made everyone feel good with his zest for life. Your father was one of the nicest people I know and I know that he was a great dad too, and will be missed. You have my deepest sympathy on your loss and for the rest of your family.

I don’t even know where to begin. Jerry, you were one in a million. You always greeted me like you had been waiting your whole life to see me. I’d get one of those JerrBear hugs and a big kiss on the cheek! You made everyone feel so loved and so important. Getting you and Jake together was always comedy hour.  Your heart was as big as your smile and I am so going to miss that smile and laugh.  Rest easy my dear friend. Watch over your sweet family. Keep light in their hearts. I love you! 

Very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing.  Jerry was a very kind hearted person, a great listener, a great teacher, and a great friend to everyone.  Condolences to his family, and I hope you all find peace in your time of grieving
