Jeremiah Medlock

Jeremy left this earthly realm for a recliner and game console in Heaven in the early morning hours of April 2, 2023. This drastic move, which has begun conspiracy theories that he needed to avoid this political season or he may have been called home to rest before researching a pending UFO invasion, has shocked us all. Some also believe that Jeremy had to prove us all wrong about his invincibility because he always had to be right. About EVERYTHING.

Jeremy leaves behind two wonderful sons, Jonah, and Mason Medlock. Two very ticked-off sisters, Jamie Stump (Brandon) and Stephanie Medlock (Deke). His life partner Tonya Sample. The first love of his life and adored eldest niece, Emily (Rafael), along with three other nieces, two nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a whole slew of aunts, uncles, and more cousins than can be counted. Jeremy loved his entire family, and as dysfunctional as we are all, he was still proud of everyone.

He was preceded in leaving his earthly adventure by his mother, Doris Carroll, his Pappaw and Mammaw, Ralph Carroll Sr. and Rose Carroll (Ashby), his Granny, Mereda McCaffery (Stafford), an uncle, two cousins, and his beloved dog Trooper.

Jeremy was not a person who dwelled on sentiment or religious ceremony, so he chose cremation and to have a Celebration of Life rather than a funeral, which would have lasted too long and given him a twitch. This will be held at Boomtown Kitchen (114 East Main Street, New Albany, IN, 47150) on Sunday, April 16th at 2:00 P.M. This way, if you've ever bought him a drink (and we're sure you have) we can buy you one to pay you back. Jeans, t-shirts, and flannel are the suggested attire.

Please bring your best "funny Jeremy stories" to share. We are positive he will be in that big Heavenly recliner, game controller in hand, with a passed-out Trooper at his feet, eating an Encharito, and drinking a beer, waiting to argue with what we have to say.

The family also sends our condolences to the pizza and food delivery industry, as well as to the employees of local liquor stores, as we're sure the already miss Jeremy as much as we do.

In lieu of flowers, please, perform an act of kindness for a stranger and simply let them know that Jeremy sent you to them. Thank you.
