Jean Baker

Jean Baker, who loved to be called "Cushie" by her grandchildren, departed her loving family on September 18, 2022. Jean was born in Covington Kentucky on November 11, 1951, to James and Julia Brothers. Jean was the beloved wife of Jerry L. Baker Sr. and; a loving mother to April (Roger) Shewmaker, Johnathan (Yoko) Akers, and Robin (Alan) Montgomery. She left behind 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, both siblings, and loving son, Jerry Baker ll. She retired from Dan Cristian Excavating, Inc. and was a standing member of St. Michael Church of Bradford. Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11400 Farmers Lane, Bradford, Indiana on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m with a private burial to follow.
