Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Harold Curtis Farmer for 43 years. Much loved mother of David Farmer (Betty), Richard Farmer, Sandra Farmer and Penny Stewart (Art).
She is survived by nine grandchildren: David Aaron Farmer, Megan Ochsner, Jill Farnsley (Sam), Craig Farmer (Lesley), Robbie Farmer, Kelley Runyon, John Runyon, Katie Stewart & Will Stewart. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Cara Farnsley, Jackson Farmer, Maddie Farmer and Wyatt Farmer.
In addition to her husband, Harold, Ruth was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amy Farmer, brothers William McMillin and James McMillin and sister Doris Shaheen.
While she worked for many years as the office manager for Dr. George Howard, she was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a Grandmother.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany IN from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16th. The family will hold private services. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
