Imelda C. (Teives) “Billie” Shea, 98 years of age passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 in Louisville, KY. She was born November 7, 1919 in New Albany, IN to the late Charles and Otilda Teives. Billie was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany and was a retired bookkeeper from Dr. McCullough’s office in New Albany. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis and 7 siblings.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Shea (Judy), daughters, Suzanne Applegate and Barbara Brewer, sister, Martha Sands, grandchildren, Christopher Goodwin, Scott Goodwin, Gregg Goodwin (Tammy), Courtney Holdman (Chris), Heather Wright (Terry), Hilary Hubbard (John), and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 415 E. 8th Street, New Albany, Indiana with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
