Holly Ann Johnson

Holly Ann Johnson, age 66, passed away at Norton Children’s Hospital on May 24, 2023, due to complications from heart surgery. Holly was born on Feb 10, 1957, in Beloit, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Dorothy Ostoic. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1975. Holly attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout graduating in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. She then taught at Wabeno, WI and Stockbridge, WI high schools.
On April 16, 1983, she married David Johnson in Beloit, WI. In 1991 she earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Holly and family then moved to Jeffersonville, IN where she served as coordinator for Jeffersonville Main Street, Inc. for several years. In 1996 she received a Master of Education from the University of Louisville. Holly proceeded to teach for Jefferson County Public Schools primarily at Fern Creek and Butler high schools for 21 years. Holly was a 24-year resident of Floyd’s Knobs, IN, retiring to Venice, FL in 2017 with her husband Dave. Holly’s interests included gardening and genealogy research. Holly and Dave enjoyed travelling throughout the country as they visited every state.
Holly is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Dorothy (Buss) Ostoic.
She is survived by her husband Dave, sons Kyle and Ryan Chicago, IL, brother Kurt Ostoic (Tracy), Fox Point, WI, and niece Natalie Ostoic, Chicago, IL.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation.
