The Home-going for Hobert Prince White (Bill) will be Saturday August 27, 2022 at Christ Gospel Church 2614 E 10th St. Jeffersonville, IN 47130. The viewing will be from 9am - 11am followed by the service at 11am.
Bill recently celebrated his 84th birthday! In his 20's, he made the most important decision in his life, when he accepted Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior and loved him with all his heart. He has been a member of Christ Gospel Church for 56 years. He was born on June 8, 1938 to Warner Edwin White and Myrtle Mae White (Keith) in Gregory, AR. He was the baby of 9 children. He lost his Mother at the age of 4 and was raised by two older sisters Stella and Willie. At 17, his Dad signed permission for him to join the Army. A few years later he found the love of his life and married her. He told his lovely Joan "we are going to have a boy and a girl". Low and behold that's what the good LORD bestowed upon them. Their earlier years were hard on them . He worked very hard for almost all his long life as a Pressman and then a Commercial Carpenter. Bill was always collecting things in case someone needed something that he could give them to help them out. It hurt him to see people struggling or in need. He was a Faithful man to our Mother and to our Saviour.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joan Kathryn White (Stiles), both parents W. E. White and Myrtle White, grandson Nathan White II and the following siblings. Clifford, Cecil, Howard, Edith, Ollie, Stella and Hazel. He is survived by his son Nathan White SR, (Debbie), daughter Pamela Runck (White) (Reno), 4 grandsons Ryan Runck (Amanda), Tim Runck, Steven White and Jacob White and 4 great grandchildren, Kaylin Grace White, Nathan White III, Joanie White and McKenzie Sky White.
Pam and I want to give out a shout to a gentleman who has been there for our dad over the last several years! Mr. Richard Phillips, we are so grateful for you! You have always been faithful to stop by to visit with our dad. You have been a friend to him at times when he may have felt alone and isolated. We want to thank you for your selflessness and thoughtfulness towards our little daddy! God Bless you!
Nathan & Pam
