Geraldine "Gerri" (Reisert) Schickel Hart Sakata, age 82, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Gerri was born in New Albany, Indiana on July 3, 1941 to Gerald and Alletta Reisert. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in New Albany and was preceded in death by husbands, John "Pat" Schickel, Pat Hart, and John Sakata.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Reeder (Stephen), M. Beth Nicholson (David); grandchildren, Megan Lyles, P. Tyler Reeder, Jane Nicholson, Analisa Nicholson; great grandchildren, Katelyn Lyles, Shelby Lyles, and Brooklyn Pratt.
Visitation for Gerri will be 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will begin 3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
