Genevieve "Jennie" Sprigler

Genevieve “Jennie” Stumler Sprigler, 95 years of age died Friday, June 13, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born July 4, 1918 in Fowler, Indiana to the late Joseph and Frances (Miller) Stumler. Jennie and her late husband, Louis “Tip” Sprigler, were the co-owners of Sprigler Brothers Construction. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Christian Mothers, Floyds Knobs Community Club, and Floyds Knobs Euchre Club. Jennie was a special wife, mother, grandma, and friend.to everyone she met. She loved to play cards, talk on the phone, and watch television. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Tip” Sprigler; daughter, Sandra Kay Sprigler; grandsons, Ryan Thomas Sprigler, Kevin Carroll Bedan; great granddaughter, Jyllian Grace Sprigler.

Survivors include her children, Jeanette Bedan (Carroll), Everett “Sonny” Sprigler (Mary Evelyn), Thomas “T.J.” Sprigler (Janice), Paul Sprigler (Shauna); grandchildren, Debbie Wilson (LeRoy), Jeffrey Bedan, Brent Sprigler, Brad Sprigler, Chad Sprigler (Morgan), Eric Sprigler (Lisa), Barry Sprigler (Missi), Margo Sprigler, Thad Sprigler (Melissa), Travis Sprigler; 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and good friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until 8:00 pm Monday and after 8:00 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary of the Knobs Chapel with burial to follow in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.
