Gary Lee Martin

Gary Lee Martin, 77 years of age passed away on May 21, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Mynard and Margaret Martin. Gary was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired sales manager for the Anchor Company. He was a member of Bonnie Sloane American Legion Post #28 and VFW Post #3281, both in New Albany. Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, John Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara “Tamie” Martin; children, Gary Todd Martin (Tamy), Christie Longest (Greg); step-sons, Troy Lane Blackburn (Jill), Terry Lance Blackburn (Stephanie); sister, Elaine Ang; brother, Ronnie Martin (Marilyn); grandchildren, Chase Longest, Kier Longest, Lance Blackburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service with military honors will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
