Elizabeth Lib Loretta Staib Meiman

ELIZABETH LORETTA "LIB" (STAIB) MEIMAN, 91 years of age, passed away at Wedgewood Healthcare Center on Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. “Ray” Meiman, and her son, Robert L. Meiman.

Lib was a member of the JFK Knights of Columbus Council 1348 Ladies Auxiliary in Jeffersonville, IN and the Democratic Women’s Club of Clark County. She was full of life, love, and could put a smile on the face of anyone she met with her lighthearted humor. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by three sons, Charles J. Meiman of Pekin, Indiana, Dr. Gregory L. Meiman (Anne) of Cullman, Alabama and Gerald L. Meiman of Clarksville, Indiana; a daughter, Elizabeth L. Meiman Cheser of Clarksville, Indiana; twin brother, Elmer Staib of Louisville, Kentucky; granddaughters, Jessica Cheser Elder, Meg Meiman and Julie Meiman; and grandsons, Joshua Meiman, Jeremey Cheser, Justin Meiman and Dr. Jonathan Meiman.

Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarksville, Indiana.
