Edward J. Miller, 92 years of age died Thursday September 28, 2017. He was born August 10, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Arthur E. and Helen T. (Hildebrand) Miller. Edward was an electrical engineer with the Bell South Company until retiring in 1987. He was a long time resident of New Albany, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the V.F.W. and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, both in New Albany. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty C. Miller, and siblings, Jim Miller and Doris Normile. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving include his two daughters, Tina R. Miller (Penny), Marti L. Walker (Jeff); grandchildren, Donald R. Miller (Jessica), Bryan E. Miller (Whitney), Jason A. Miller, Scott Walker, Sarah C. Walker; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Angela King (John), Robert Miller (Carol), Richard Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Private entombment will be held later in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
