Dorothy M. Daugherty

Dorothy "Dot" M. Daugherty, age 93, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Dorothy was born on August, 24th, 1930 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Robert L. Biglow and Mary L. (Hatfield) Biglow. Dot loved to crochet afghans and baby blankets for gifts to relatives and friends. She was a proud employee of the United States Government, working for the U.S. Army as a teletype operator in cryptography and retired from a department at the Census Bureau that required a top level security clearance.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 24 years, Charles A. Daugherty; and a brother, Harry R. Bigelow.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Charles (Patricia) Daugherty; a daughter, Lisa (Russell) Hoskins; a grandson, Justin Mayo; and two sisters, Rachel McDonald and Linda Little.

Dorothy's visitation will be from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9th, 2023 and her funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the Kraft Funeral Chapel. A private burial will be held at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
