Donald R. Jones Sr.

Donald R. Jones Sr. 85 years of age died Monday January 26, 2015. Don was born April 27, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Gerald C. and Thelma (Akers) Jones. He was retired after 31 years with the Gallagher Station of P.S.I. in New Albany and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and member of Floyd County Post #3281 V.F.W.. He was the widower of June R. (Herman) Jones and Bessie F. “Betty” (Rudolph) Jones and a member of Northside Christian Church. Don will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Survivors include four Children, Donald R. Jones Jr., Mark A. Jones, Debra K. Jones, Tammy S. Potts; four grandchildren, Tonya, Tiffany, Tabatha and Jacklyn; four great grandchildren, Destiny, Cody, Ivy and Aden.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be 12:00 pm Friday January 30th, 2015 at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
