David was my locker partner senior year at Providence.  I was truly lucky to have known such a wonderful and happy person.  I always admired and looked up to him. He was a great friend . He will always be in my prayers and with all my heart I think any person that was lucky enough to know him was truly blessed.  May you rest in peace my friend.

Dave was one of the most sincere and compassionate men I have every known.  He made all the people he worked with feel valued and appreciated. His love for his family was so deep and never ending.  I never had the privilege of meeting Susie and his children but I felt like I knew them from his loving stories. He will be missed greatly.

I met Dave at Classic Pharmacy and my heart is hurting as I learned today of his passing. He was truly a bright light and genuinely cared for others. To his family and the staff at Classic- may you feel peace and love from God and from the many lives that Dave touched. Thank you, Dave for making this world a better and brighter place. You will be greatly missed by so many. 

The Providers and Staff at East Louisville Dermatology have been so blessed to have Dave in our circle. He has truly been an asset and more than that, a friend. We can't express how much we are going to miss his kind heart. 

Dave was one of a kind. 
His dedication to Suzy, Jordan and Lindsey was like nothing I've ever seen. He loved his family fiercely. He referred to Suzy as his girlfriend, a sweet daily reminder to himself to never let the honeymoon phase end. Jordan and Lindsey he always called "my boy" or "my girl" and if any of the three called his phone he would light up and drop everything to talk to them no matter how busy. He knew how precious his time with his family was and he never wanted to miss a second. 
Dave walked with me and guided me through some of the biggest moments in my life. He was thoughtful, honest, humble and so kind. He loved big and felt deeply. I wish I would have seen him one more time to tell him what he meant to me. He will always be on the top of my list of favorite people. 
Dave was a mentor, a friend and a believer. I have no doubt he had a direct flight to Heaven's gates because he truly lived his life as the hands and feet of Jesus. 
My heart breaks for his family, you are all in my prayers. 
Godspeed Dave, may you rest peacefully until you can be with your family again one day 💗

So sorry for your loss. Dave was such a great guy. He was my boss when he was retail store manager for Walgreens over in Louisville. He was such an avid cyclist and what I remember most about him was his love for his wife and kids. Got to watch him finish an Ironman back in 2016 or 2017 if I remember correct. I am saddened by the loss of David and my heart hurts for all of his family and friends.  I knew him only from Classic and he was kind, attentive, approachable and knowledgable,  the kind of person  with whom it was easy to strike up a conversation.  It was clear he was invested in his customers, not just his business. He added that personal touch that so many businesses are now missing.  Our kids, even  having only met him once, commented on how personable he was and they, too, were struck with sadness at the news of his death.  What a great loss.  He left behind a beautiful family; I wish you comfort from the bonds he helped create.

I could not write enough great things about David. I only worked with him when it was related to prescriptions that were sent to his pharmacy from our place of work, but he was one of the hardest working men I knew. Everytime we called classic, 99% of the time you would get Dave himself by phone. He worked hard to keep things easy for our providers, patients and our office. Classic was and will continue to be our go to specialty pharmacy because of the legacy Dave worked hard to build. Condolences to his family and friends. He seemed like a one of a kind man.

My heart aches for each one of you, along with the Kaelin Family and Jefferies Family. We were all such a tight knit family when we were younger.  David was always a good big cousin and even a better man. This picture is one of my favorites! Everyone was so proud of David for all he accomplished in his short life! I wish I could have given you a hug and told you how much I loved you!

I was so saddened to hear of his passing. I work at a dermatology office and would often have to call him in regards to prescriptions. I always enjoyed talking with him and he was always so pleasant and kind. I’m very sorry for your loss.

One of my very best memories of the Kaelin’s was on our oldest children’s field trip to DC!  Playing cards in the hallway, using inappropriate terminology to annoy our children and being told to be quiet by Mrs. Fust!  David was one of a kind, and each one of them, Jordan, Lindsey, and Suzy, hold special places in my heart along with David!  He’s competed in the ultimate Ironman this time, see you when I make it to the finish line! 

David was an amazing guy who I’m lucky to have met in my formative years, along with his family. He was an even better pseudo-mentor to me in the world of pharmacy and I always looked forward to chatting with him when given the chance. I’m sure my patients we’re annoyed with my tardiness but it was worth the wait to get a couple extra minutes to catch up on life with David. Will truly be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting David shortly after he opened Classic.  We instantly hit it off and enjoyed working together in helping to grow our businesses.  Every time I was in town I would stop in and catch up on the latest things going on. He was truly one of the kindest men I have met.  Such a sincere person with incredible work ethic. My heart goes out to his family and friends and the entire community he has touched.  

Dave was a good man. We worked together at Kroger and then Walgreens. He was kind, patient and generous. He had it all.: Looks, brains, great sense of humor and empathy. He is loved and missed by all who knew him.

David was not only my boss but he was a friend. He was so supportive when my late husband passed and he was there for me when I decided to take custody of my three nephews. He will be greatly missed.


I have so many fond memories of David, Suzy and family.   David and Suzy were hard workers at the St. Mary’s street dance.   They were great parents and members of the St. Mary’s family.   David had the same competitive runner “disease” that Greg had and he was impacted greatly by Greg’s death.   I  am so sad to learn of his sudden death.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Suzy, Jordan and Lindsey and all who loved David.

Suzy, Jordan and Lindsey- I am so very saddened to hear of David’s passing. It was always a joy to see him, whether during our time at St Mary’s, or while he was my pharmacist and he would stop and chat with me, or when we would run into each other while out and about.
