Dale R. "Happy" Chandler

Dale R. “Happy” Chandler, 64 years of age died Thursday February 14th, with his family by his side. He was born March 3rd, 1948 in New Albany, IN. to the late Edmond and Vivian G. Knoy Chandler. Dale was a former employee of Jeff Boat before joining Caldwell Tanks in Louisville, KY for the last twenty-five years. He was a 1966 graduate of New Albany High School and was an avid baseball player and enthusiast. “Happy” was an integral part of the New Albany Little League Organization as a coach, volunteer and former board member. Most of all he loved baseball and watching his grandchildren play was the highlight of his life. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and many friends. Especially his beloved chocolate lab “Molly”.

Step-son: Stephen Bodenstadt

Eight Grandchildren: Dylan, Carson, Mason, Nathan, Emma, Bryan, Danielle, and Luke.

Two Brothers: Dennis and David Chandler

Two Sisters: Shirley Eckert and husband Kermit

Marcia Napper and husband Lamon

Beloved Pet: Molly

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Monday February 18th and after 9:00 am Tuesday February 19th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with entombment to follow in the Chapel of the Cross at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana. Expressions to: New Albany Little League or Hosparus/Hospice.
