CATHERINE E. (SMITH) GOEBEL, 91, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. The daughter of the late Everitt and Loretta (Day) Smith, Catherine was born May 16, 1920 in New Albany. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Goebel, and a son, Ronald Goebel.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ken Hartfield of Greenville, IN; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation from 2:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service and Entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park will be private.
