Brenda Marie Hollis DVM

Brenda Marie Hollis, DVM, 50 years of age died Tuesday June 27, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brenda was born October 13, 1966 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Harvey Glenn Hollis DVM and Frances Elizabeth (White) Hollis. Brenda was a 1995 graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and had been practicing for some 22 years. She most recently had practiced a number of years at the Hollis Animal Clinic which her father Harvey G. Hollis DVM, founded in 1959. Brenda was a caring, patient and kind doctor who always had time for the animals as well as the owners. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all her many friends, She was preceded in death by her parents and a sibling; Kristina Hollis-Walters

Survivors include her husband, Jim Harper; three children, Payton, Colette, and Geneva; siblings, Barbara Hollis, Kevin Hollis MD (Susan), and James Hollis DVM, (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.

Reception of family and friends will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Remembrance Service will be 4:00 pm Monday at the funeral home chapel. The family requests expressions of sympathy to Floyd County Animal Rescue League, PO Box 285, New Albany, Indiana.
