Beatrice (Heavrin) Turner

BEATRICE (HEAVRIN) TURNER, 62, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. The daughter of the late Joseph H. Heavrin and Margie (Wilson) Spears, Bea was born July 8, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky. Bea was owner and florist at the former Charlestown Flower and Gift Shop in Charlestown, worked as a designer at Ben Franklin, and as a seamstress for Nu Yale Cleaners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Gary Heavrin, Randy Heavrin, and Willy Humphrey.

Survivors include her husband, George R. Turner; children, David R. Pierce, Jr., Windy G. Pierce, and Addam J. Turner; grandchildren, Clayton Pierce, Destiny Blevins, Keerah Turner, and Dammyk Turner; great granddaughter, Brayleigh; siblings, Larry Heavrin (Judy), Joey Heavrin (Bobbi), Eric Heavrin (Joanne), Bonnie Heavrin, and Lu Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

It was her wish to be cremated. A Memorial Visitation will be 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany. There will be a Sharing of Memories at 7:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
