Barbara S. Pulliam, age 74, passed away on December 23, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on April 14, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Russell and Edith (Hosea) Daniel of New Albany, Indiana. Barbara was a graduate of Providence High School. She became the first in her family to graduate from college with a B.S. in Education from Indiana University Southeast, where she met her late husband, David Pulliam. She later received a Masters degree from Indiana University Bloomington. She was a schoolteacher at Greenacres Elementary School in Clarksville, Indiana, for 36 years. She truly loved being a teacher and continued working with kids after her retirement. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Barbara is survived by her son, Keith Pulliam (Laura), her daughter, Erin Collins (Nathan), her four grandsons, Owen and Grant Pulliam and Matthew and David Collins, and her sisters, Cheryl Kost and Carol Waterhouse. In addition to her husband and her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters, Sharon Becht and Peggy Teater.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 3, 2022, at 12:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 316 N. Sherwood Ave., Clarksville, Indiana. Entombment will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

About the Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund was originally established in 2003 through the Greater Clark County School Corporation Educational Foundation and is intended to provide scholarships for GCCS high school graduates who are pursuing post-secondary degrees in education with preference given to students with demonstrated financial need, who are first generation college students, attending local educational institutions. Dave and Barb were both deeply committed to education. They wanted to encourage and assist local students to become teachers in our community.
